If it looks like a hoax

If it looks like a hoax, smells like a hoax, sounds like a hoax, it most probable is a hoax. Everyone needs to look at this page and please read it before you forward another goofy email. I guess I am paranoid on this hoax email deal, but damn people wise up and check this stuff out before you forward it to umpteen million people. My mailbox is jammed with 75 to 125 pieces of spam everyday, so please don’t contribute to the mess.

Delete that old mail in OE

This question was asked by a very close friend (you know who you are) and I think a few other people would like to know the answer as well. Some times we geeks forget that some of the things we take for granted are not know by the novice. Some times we can’t see past the tape on our glasses, so we have to be reminded.

“How do I delete all of those emails from the “Deleted” and “Sent” Items in Outlook Express mail program? *
1. Go to that folder, in this case, “Deleted Items” Click on it and the messages will display.
2. Click on the top email message (one click) the message header will highlight. (Turn Blue)
3. Use the scroll bar to go to the last email message in your list.
4. Hold the “Shift key” down and “Left Click” on it. (All will highlight) (Turn Blue)
5. “Right Click” on the highlighted emails.
6. “Left Click” on “Delete”
7. A warning box will appear. “Left Click” “Yes”
8. POOF, they’re gone for good, never to return. “Be careful as only the CIA or FBI can retrieve them!

If you only want to delete selected emails from the folder.

Hold the “ctrl key” while “Left Clicking” the messages you want to delete, only they will highlight, the rest is the same procedure to delete them.

* you need to do this from time to time as they take up a lot of space on your hard drive.
