The Eagle has landed

The Eagle has landed.
The large 17 Element 2 meter SSB CushCraft 17B2 is in its resting place for a longe time I hope. Thanks to John N9SFW, Sam KA9FTM, Ty N9GOO, Don WB9SHF, and good ol' Ralph my neighbor for all the great help in installing the tower and antennas.
Just after the install I tried out the Boomer and contacted Alabama, then a few minutes later a station in Michigan called. For you non-hams reading this, this is a very long distance contact for this band of 144 Mhz. or 2 meters.

If things go good I will be adding a large tri-band beam on the tall tower. This tower is 56 ft. and I also hope to put my Web Cam up there too. You can see the new antenna very well from my Web Cam now at http://webcam.wb9otx.com/cam/
